I was up on the Blue Ridge Parkway looking for fall colors. Here is a photo I took in the Blowing Rock, NC area off the parkway on a gravel road in the area. The recent rains had caused a lot of the leaves to start falling, but there was still a lot of color to be found in the area.
I drove up to the Grandfather Mountain Photo Clinic and met up with a lot of friends and fellow photographers. It was a fun weekend with great speakers. While there they let us stay long enough to take a sunset photo. Storm clouds were coming in, but I did get to see a small bit of pink in the sky as the sun was setting.
I met photographers and friends for a photo outing to the Shelton Vineyards in Dobson, NC. It was a beautiful day with nice clouds in the sky. Here is a photo I took of the vineyards. I processed this as a HDR image with 3 images using Photomatix. Post processing with Photoshop and the Nik filters Define and Viveza.
I am having a great time learning Infrared Photography techniques and processing at the Low County IR Excursion Photo Workshop held in Pawley’s Island, SC. Here are a couple of photos I took with a Full Spectrum converted camera. The photos were taken with a 630nm Infrared Filter and process for FAUX color.
